Click to view image album. Click to view image album. The hacienda hotel & casino was built in the mid 1950's and was imploded new year's eve 1996. It was located on the far side southern side of the las vegas strip, now the mandalay bya hotel & casino stands in it's place. To me, this was an end of an era in las vegas history, for i am a 32 year resident of las vegas. The hacienda hotel was considered part of old vegas where frnak sinatra, dean martin and the rest of the rat pack ruled the strip.
This chip is made fo clay, has the cowboy on his horse inlaid symbol, on boths sides of the chip, reflecting the same style of the original hacienda marquee sign.
